Halloween Monsters

Saturday morning snapperfest with anglers showing the larger fish caught weighing in up to 11 pounds. The fish were being taken on both knocker rigs and standard sliding sinker rigs use sardines for bait. Some great catches and congratulations gentlemen!

Halloween morning saw this 30 pound fall Cobia come aboard the Lady K along with plenty of Mutton Snapper, King Mackerel and Dorado (dolphin) by anglers using sardines. Anglers fishing bottom rigs and squid caught Porgies, Triggerfish and Jacks.

King Mackerel like the 8 pound fish pictured above also provided some excellent rod bending excitement on all trips Saturday. Knocker rigs baited with sardines have been the most effective for these fast running game fish.

The Lady K has also had a few Sailfish releases during the last few days of October. The fish have been hitting baits either being reeled in or while anglers are letting out line so be prepared when the strike happens.

We hope everyone had a very safe and happy Halloween this year as we close out October and look forward to more great fishing days in November.
