Mangrove Snapper

Not only new to fishing but also allergic to seafood, Nya shows she has what it takes to catch nice fish, like her seven pound Mangrove Snapper caught during a June night trip. The fish measured 25 inches and ate a half sardine as soon as the bait hit the bottom.  She has also caught her first Mahi Mahi and King Mackerel while fishing with the crews of the Lady K this summer. She has taken all of her fish while using her own 25 pound test spinning outfit. Spectacular job Nya!!

Night fishing has produced Lane Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellow-tail Snapper, Grunts, Porgies and an occasional King Mackerel during the last week. Be sure to pack a rain suit or poncho in case the late afternoon thunderstorms decide to hang around after dark. Don’t forget that the Fourth of July is coming up and one of the best places to view the fireworks all along the coast is while fishing offshore. Please call ahead for parking designations and directions to the dock.  BarJack Fishing and the crews of the Lady K wish everyone a very Happy and Safe Fourth of July!!
