Mahi Mahi sure made the trip for these lucky anglers while they fished a morning trip aboard the Lady K this Labor Day weekend. What a great way to celebrate Labor Day, fresh grilled Mahi Mahi sandwiches!! Anglers also caught King Mackerel, Bonito and an assortment of bottom fish such as the delicious Gray Triggerfish. Great catch folks, you should all be proud – we are!!
VIP angler, Lee, caught this 9 pound Mutton Snapper while fishing during an afternoon trip aboard the Lady K. The fish ate a free-lined sardine which is proof that you don’t have to fish the bottom for nice snapper. Other fish caught by anglers included King Mackerel, Bonito, and assorted bottom species such as Porgies, Graysby Grouper and Gray Triggerfish. The evening bite picked up this Labor Day weekend as these young anglers show. Nice Mutton Snapper where taken along with Lane Snapper, Grunts and Gray Triggerfish leaving anglers with fishing fever for the week. Anglers have been having the best results using squid, sardines and other cut bait for bait while fishing bottom rigs.
