Levay bagged his nice Mutton Snapper and Black-fin Tuna while fishing during a morning trip aboard the Lady K. The mornings are bringing mixed catches of fish like False Albacore (bonito), Snapper, Triggerfish, King Mackerel, large Jacks such as Almaco and Amberjack along with some Shark releases. The water has been “gin clear” with some days allowing anglers 100 foot visibility through the glass smooth surface before the late morning breeze picks up.

King Mackerel have been hitting well during the afternoon trips along with Yellow-tail Snapper, False Albacore, Cero Mackerel, Porgies and the occasional Great Barracuda. The afternoon trips offer a nice breeze while fishing on the shady side of the vessel. Afternoons have been the best bet for anglers looking to take home some Yellow-tail Snapper fillets. Yellow-tails can be caught while fishing with sardines spooled along the bottom using the boat’s rods or by anglers using light spinning outfits and small jigs specifically made for Yellow-tail Snapper.

Evening trips offer anglers a cooler alternative with a chance to catch King Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Yellow-tail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Porgies, Grunts and sometimes a sunset Sailfish. Beginners and fishing families are always welcome. Our crews will teach you how to use the equipment and offer tips on techniques for better fish catching results. So plan a trip today aboard the Lady K.
