August brings warm ocean currents right near the coast, bringing both deep-water bottom species and fast-moving pelagic surface fish within reach of our 4-hour drift trips.

Captain’s Tip for August Mixed-Bag Drift Trips
When drift fishing in late summer, versatility is key:
- Keep a Flat Line Out: Always keep a light-tackle line floating near the surface behind the boat with a live or cut bait—that’s how those passing Mahi-Mahi and Kingfish strike while everyone else is bottom fishing!
- Listen to Your Mates: Ocean currents shift quickly. If the drift slows down or speeds up, let our crew adjust your lead weight so your bait sits right in the strike zone.
Stocking Up Before Docking: Don’t forget to swing by Bar Jack Fish Tales before heading to the boat slip! Grab your ice, snacks, custom rigs, and fresh bait packed specifically for current Palm Beach conditions.

- Trip Schedule: Morning (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) & Afternoon (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM) (Closed Wednesdays)
