On our recent Sunday drift trip aboard the Lady K, our anglers experienced a fantastic mix of bottom action and surface strikes along the Palm Beach reef structure.
A Strong Sunday Haul on the Atlantic Reefs
Our anglers put on a clinic on the water, pulling up a impressive lineup of local favorites:
- King Mackerel (Kingfish): Delivering fast-paced reel action near the upper water column.
- Gray & Lane Snappers: Keying in on our bottom rigs and providing plenty of tasty fillets for dinner.
- Blackfin Tuna (Toro Cut): The star highlight of the day!
Trying out the “Toro”
One of the best parts about offshore fishing is sampling different cuts of fresh catch. A few guests on deck wanted to try the Toro, which is the highly prized, rich, and fatty belly cut of the tuna known for melting in your mouth. Our crew prepped it right at the cleaning station at our Sportsman’s Park Marina. We’re currently waiting on final feedback from the anglers, but if history is any indicator, fresh South Florida tuna belly never disappoints!
