The afternoon drift fishing trip stayed strong with a few Mahi and kings. Triggers and yellowtails were among the bottom fish bounty.

We are seeing more kingfish come in as Spring progresses. The night trip even found an elusive blackfin. Also seen in the picture is our newest crew member Chalmers. Great crew, great catch!

A nice Mutton Snapper comes aboard the Lady K by the masked Snapper Bandit. Both Yellow-tail and Mutton Snapper have been caught by lucky anglers drift fishing the local wrecks and reefs with sardines. Ask the crews of the Lady K to give a demonstration of how to “spool the bottom” to increase your success while fishing for these great tasting fish.

Phil (l) and Alex(r) display their bookend Cobia caught during a morning trip aboard the Lady K. Cobia can be caught by anglers fishing with either drift rigs baited with sardines or while using a bottom rig baited with cut squid. Although the Cobia may resemble a shark or catfish while being fought up to the boat, the fish are actually in a class all by themselves. These fish rank among the top for excellent table fare which makes them a highly sought after game-fish.

VIP angler Danny caught and released this nice Gag Grouper while fishing an afternoon trip on the Lady K. Grouper season remains closed until May 1st, 2012. All grouper caught aboard the Lady K must be quickly dehooked, vented and safely released so have a camera at the ready to capture a photo of your catch. A few lucky anglers have also had the opportunity to catch and release Sailfish while targeting other species of fish such as Mahi Mahi and King Mackerel.

Come explore the offshore waters of Southern Palm Beach County. Have a relaxing time fishing the cool blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and sight other marine life while doing so. Sea Turtle nesting season has begun in South Florida and along with the giant marine reptiles, anglers have been sighting pods of porpoise and sea birds as they begin their spring migration. Come sail away on the Lady K.

Taking a day off from work, Joe caught this 59 inch King Mackerel on “the drop”. The fish ate a triple hooked sardine just under the boat as Joe was letting out line, almost taking every bit of line from the reel during its initial run and was brought to gaff within 5 minutes. The fish weighed in at 50 pounds back at the dock and is Joe’s largest fish caught to date.

Trophy fish such as these don’t come along everyday but when they do the experienced crews of the Lady K will help you land them. Break free of the everyday, fishing a four-hour trip aboard the Lady K and allowing your cares to just drift away.
