Resplendent Weather Keeps Anglers Busy

Father’s Day weekend brought warm blue skies along with some nice fish like this beautiful Black-fin Tuna. The Tuna continue to move through the area and can be caught among the False Albacore, also known as Bonito. The Black-fin Tuna have been caught by anglers fishing standard drift rigs and by anglers using vertical jigs.

There have also been a few late spring Mahi Mahi showing up to grace the anglers aboard the Lady K with their aerial acrobatics and stunning colors. When the Mahi Mahi show up along the rail, be prepared to get your bait close to the boat, then let the fish run with the bait for a little while before setting the hook.

VIP anglers Lee (l) and Rob (r) found some good fishing during a night trip this past Father’s Day weekend and bagged a nice King Mackerel and Mutton Snapper while drift fishing aboard the Lady K. Night fishing has been productive for snapper, grunts, grouper and some King Mackerel without the heat of the sun on your neck. The Lady K offers night-time drift fishing trips seven days a week and no reservations are needed.

Look for the snapper bite continue firing up as we progress into summer. Delicious fish like the Yellow-tail Snapper pictured above have been finding their way into the ice box and upon the dinner table for many of the anglers aboard the Lady K. Plan your trip today and join the fun, fishing aboard the Lady K under the tropical Florida sun!
